Naptime

The cold weather has blown in now that the chaos of Christmas is behind us. There were snowdrifts knee deep outside of Mike's office thanks to the North Wind. He spent the day there catching up on admin stuff and organizing his email (which he hasn't looked at in quite a few weeks). I enjoyed some quiet time at home trying to organize and return the house to a semi-normal state. Our room is finally our own again since we moved the big brown chair back to my parent's place. Mike is now able to sleep in bed without any back spasms and the pain has been minimal. I was able to also clean off our dresser and side tables and it felt so nice! When I had finished, Cooper and Lainey were able to have a little snooze in my bed. I snapped a few pictures of the two of them together and then tucked her into her bassinet while I continued organizing through the house.

I managed to tidy Lainey's room, and rearrange and clean Lily's room after moving Cooper back downstairs. This time I pulled out the spare twin bed and put the toddler bed in storage. He seems to like the big comfy bed better. Camilla sweetly admitted that she snuggled in with him from 530-8 this morning (I appreciated the extra rest and thoughtfulness). I am ready to take down Christmas, but it seems like a crime to do it before New Years. I'm trying to enjoy the kids and hang out with them while also keeping things tidy and it's always a hard balance for me to achieve. The Christmas decoration chaos is just starting to get on my nerves this year for some reason.

Camilla cut a few inches off my hair this afternoon and curled it up all pretty! She is such a talented kid!
