Our St. Patrick's day was kind of low key this year. We never did get around to making our green cupcakes, but we did eat a lot of green food! The littles all picked out a green shirt to wear. Camilla settled on a pink shirt with a green butterfly on the front. She had a lot of fun at school celebrating the day. We were missing our little second cousins and the traditional St. Patrick's day party we enjoy every year.
The boys requested green KD for lunch. I have a hard time eating the stuff, especially when it's green and I've just changed a dirty diaper. But it was fun! Throughout the day our family leprechaun would sneak around and leave chocolate gold coins for the littles to find. It's their favorite part of the day, finding coins in their shoes, seats, jackets, or under their pillows.
On the menu for dinner was green potatoes, green salad, pickles, green jello, and ham. The littles weren't sure about the green potatoes, Fin was the only one who loved them. Daddy ended up having to stay late at the office, so we ate around the little table. I sent him a picture of our green dinner, and he sent me a picture of his striped green socks which is about as festive as he got this year. Love that guy!
