Oh, it was a busy day at the Stannix home! We woke up feeling ambitious and decided to tackle a few of the things we've been meaning to get to. Everyone woke fairly well rested, and not too early. The children spent the whole morning being bottomless pits and enjoying first, second, and third breakfasts. Toast, porridge, eggs, it never ends! I was so excited when I noticed my tulips had popped on my table!
The littles played away the morning, and when they started fighting we loaded everyone into the van and went for a drive to Wal-Mart for some paint. The customer service was less than enjoyable and after a really long
wait my little tin of paint turned out black. We loaded everyone back
into the van and headed to home hardware (why we didn't go there first I
don't know).
Three of the four kids fell asleep on the way, so Joe came in with me while Daddy waited in the van. I fell in love with the perfect shade of yellow and was given optimal customer service. Daddy worked hard all afternoon painting, doing up my dishes and playing with the kids. We did a second coat on it late this afternoon and it turned out pretty good!
I'm excited to put it in Finley's room and move his dresser over to Joe who has been in dire need of a dresser since we moved in. At our old place the kids all shared rooms and dressers, so we were short a dresser or two when we moved in. Joe was excited to finally have a dresser and I'm excited for him to be able to get his own clothes out each morning and dress himself.
I'm so grateful for my Mr. Stannix and all his hard work today! It was fun painting the dresser together.
