I guess this post sort of starts off where the other one ended. After Mr. Stannix and I snoozed part of the morning away he bundled up to go home and get the kids and my family. I caught a few extra minutes of sleep between visits from the nurses and waited for company to return. I'm never really a fan of staying in the hospital longer than I have to and was already wanting to go home and rest. Luckily we had lots of visitors on Saturday to help pass the time!
We took a stroll down the hall and met everyone in the family lounge.
Camilla was so excited to meet her new baby. As we brought him in she
walked up to a random guy sitting in the lounge and said, "That's my new
brother, Joseph!" She was pretty proud.
When Mr. Stannix held out Joseph and called for Hyrum he came running up
and gently placed one hand under and on top of the baby and then gave
him the sweetest little smooch. Although I'm sure he adores his little
brother, he was also adoring the wagon and ride on car in the family
lounge.
My sister stopped by quickly to meet the baby and then took off to shoot
some wedding photo's for a friend. I was glad she was able to see
Joseph before she had to leave. She ended up taking out her camera and
shooting a few quick pics for me.
A lot of these snap shots I owe to her! I love this one of Joseph
though! So stinkin' cute minus the fact that I look exhausted!
I seriously can't get enough kisses in. I love me those soft baby cheeks!
Babies are seriously the sweetest little miracles ever.
My Mum and Dad were pretty excited. This makes three grandbabies for them!
Joseph was quite happy to snuggle into his Grampa.
After everyone had gone home for lunch I headed back to eat my lunch. The nurse came shortly after to give Joseph his first bath. It must have tuckered him out because he slept away the rest of the afternoon. We were later joined by some more friends and family for a short visit. It was so nice to see so many people! My Grandparents were able to stop in for a little while and snuggle
their newest great-grand. Joseph gets his middle name from my Grandpa,
so I was glad to be able to snap a picture of them together. I feel so
blessed to have my grandparents and have them be a part of my children's
lives. They are both amazing people who I admire so much!
Mr. Stannix brought me by a booster juice after dinner. It was the only thing I'd been craving all day long. We visited the night away and enjoyed our little bundle. He had to go home before it was too late though because he still had one day to attend on his course. I lucked out and had the room to myself for most of the night, but had a sad baby and didn't get a lot of sleep. I was so happy to see my Dad in the morning and extra happy when my Doctor came by early and let me be discharged. There's no place like home.
We walked outside to big fluffy snow flakes falling to the ground. Luckily Baby Joe was tucked away safely beneath blankets and a cozy carseat cover. He slept the whole way home! It was nice to be home with family for the afternoon and I was so thankful to have my Mum and Dad there to hold down the fort and help out with the kids. They didn't think they did much, but it meant the world to me!!

Also I am thrilled to hear your birth story and to hear about the great staff available to you! I;m sorry to hear about Josephs fussiness... if its any help youtube has some white noise movies... I have been playing them for Marcus as he has some long stretches with gass problems. We send you lots of love!
