This morning we got to spend some time snuggling by the fire. We slept in a little bit since there's no seminary this week due to the high school exam schedule. Our morning study was a little bit later and our morning a little bit less rushed.
Once I got the children off to school I spent most of my time catching up on dishes, dishes, dishes. I also managed a quick trip to the grocery store with Cooper while my parents watched the other two littles. It felt good to get out and back into routine again.
After school I met Joe and a friend of his and drove them to Caroline for their basketball game. Their team only scored three baskets and one of those was from Joe! We ended up bringing his friend back with us to help his mom out. We picked up Hyrum from practice and made our way home for dinner. Thankfully I had planned ahead and just needed to warm the enchiladas in the oven.
When dinner was finished we all loaded up again to drive into town and drop Joe's friend to his mom and pick up Camilla from basketball practice. Cooper was such a champ with all of the extra driving and running today.
We spent the evening beside the fire once more. Camilla hung out on the couch doing homework on my laptop and Hyrum cozied up in one of the grey chairs with his nose in a book again. He's read so many books already this year (just like his mamma). Things are slowing down and the days don't feel quite so packed. A lot of things got put on hold as we waited on babe's arrival and then adjusted to life as a family of ten. I am looking forward to finding another book for myself, making some jam and jellies and tidying up the storage room (which is a huge disaster right now). My eyes are so tired I almost have to hold them open with my fingers, but my heart is so full. I love spending time with our big kids having late night conversations. We are truly blessed!
