Lily: Five Months

Lily is FIVE months old! Words can hardly describe the JOY she brings us each day. The children adore her! Oliver always greets her with a soft, high pitched, "Hi girl, heyyyyyyy." I've recently noticed her grin is resembling Oliver's more each day. She loves her jolly jumper and is discovering how fun her rattles and toys can be. She loves Reese and giggles and squeals when she can pet her. She is still an amazing sleeper, and I love snuggling her into bed with us when she wakes at first light. She can kick and roll her way around a room now and it won't be long before she's keeping up with everyone else, I'm sure. Her cheeks are perfectly kissable and her leg rolls are delicious. We are savoring all of her baby-ness because time is flying by!!

SUMMER!

Boating Season

 Today we worked together to get the boat ready for Summer! The kids sat on the edge of the boat as Daddy put the battery in and did some maintenance. They were all pretty excited about the promise of boating! We loaded up the life jackets, grabbed some snacks and headed to our favorite lake to go for an evening boat ride. The water was beautiful which made the first boat ride of the season a happy memory (unlike the rain storm we encountered last year). Camilla serenaded us with her Uke and sang "You've Got a Friend in Me". The sun slowly dipped lower and lower, painting the sky with beautiful tones. No one was brave enough to jump in the lake, but it was sure nice to be out there and fill our souls with peace.
